Boeing Named a National Sponsor of The Great American Road Trip

(Washington, DC – January 09, 2025) The Great American Road Trip today announced Boeing as a national sponsor, marking a significant partnership as the initiative builds momentum toward celebrating America’s 250th birthday in 2026.

As one of the world’s leading aerospace companies, Boeing’s sponsorship reinforces the shared mission to highlight the infrastructure, innovation, and modes of transportation that have shaped the United States over the past 250 years and will continue to define its future.

Launched in September 2025, The Great American Road Trip showcases America’s people, places, destinations, and brands through curated itineraries, national event stops, and digital storytelling. The initiative encourages Americans to celebrate America’s 250th birthday by getting out on the road, exploring the country, and reconnecting with the communities and experiences that unite the nation.

“Boeing has played a defining role in advancing American innovation, mobility, and global connectivity,” said Tori Barnes, Executive Director of The Great American Road Trip. “As we approach America’s 250th birthday, this partnership reflects a shared commitment to celebrating the infrastructure, ingenuity, and spirit of exploration that have shaped our nation. We are proud to welcome Boeing as a sponsor of The Great American Road Trip.”

As a national sponsor, Boeing will be integrated across select Road Trip stops, storytelling initiatives, and activations that spotlight the role of transportation, aerospace, and engineering in connecting America. Through both in-person engagement with Americans, business leaders, and policymakers, the partnership will help bring America’s story to life for audiences nationwide.

“From the earliest railroads to the jets that span continents, American transportation has always been about connecting people, ideas and opportunity,” said Jeff Shockey, Executive Vice President of Boeing Government Operations, Global Public Policy & Corporate Strategy. “Boeing supports The Great American Road Trip – not only to celebrate our nation’s remarkable 250-year journey, but to spotlight the people who keep America moving. Transportation – whether by road, rail, sea or air – is essential to the American experience.”

As we look toward America’s 250th birthday, The Great American Road Trip is helping inspire travelers to get back on the road, through all means of travel, and rediscover the places and shared experiences that bind our country together.
